I find that if you spend the time to listen to anyone, everyone can teach you something. I'm always trying to learn something everywhere I go. I like to read, and write. I think that you should find beauty everywhere you go, even in the most miserable of places and people. Everything happens for a reason, sometimes it's just harder to find the reason.
